Pastor Rod Parsley hasn’t been released to present a short-term teaching series at World Harvest Church in nearly a year and a half.

But it’s finally happened! At the direction of the Holy Spirit, he’s preparing a series of messages on family relationships and finances, “Everyday…Matters: Foundations for Relationships, Marriage & Personal Finance.”

He’ll present the series at 7 p.m. Wednesdays in the Sumrall Tabernacle, 4595 Gender Road, Columbus, as part of our midweek services.

After more than 40 years of public Gospel ministry and building a church with local, national and worldwide outreaches, Dr. Parsley has learned what works and what doesn’t concerning family life and personal finance. And he’s condensed it into four concise lessons:

Sept. 7: Home Security: God’s Protection Plan (family dynamics including the roles of children and parents, single families, blended families, and ministering to elderly parents)


Sept. 14: Common Cents Consensus: United We Stand Pt. 1 (financial matters including budgeting and tithing)


Sept. 21: Common Cents Consensus: United We Stand Pt. 2 (friendships and relationships including marrieds, singles, divorcees and remarrieds)

• Sept. 28: Anchors Away: Righting the Money Ship (planning for the future including getting out of debt, preparing financially for college and retirement)

Dr. Parsley’s lecture series on leadership principles, “Effective Leadership 300” and “Influential Leadership 120,” brought some of the most impactful teaching our congregation has ever received from the hearts of one of the Church’s legendary communicators. “Everyday Matters” is in the same tradition as those series.
