Adjunct Professor Part Time (Media Department) Needed!

Bursar/Finance Manager

The Bursar/Finance Manager works both independently and as an integral part of a team to ensure compliance with the college, state, and federal regulations and standard accounting procedures. He/she will work with colleagues to develop effective polices and operational guidelines to meet the needs of stakeholders and program requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the financial program for Valor Christian College and communicate with the Financial Aid department to administer federal state, veterans, and institutional financial aid funds and services.
  • Review program billing and associated paperwork, revise policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations and college policies related to financial aid and scholarships.
  • Supervise personnel in accordance with college policies and applicable laws.
  • Offer a high level of service communicating with students regarding all aspects of their payments/balances/refunds/funding as needed; handle delinquent accounts as prescribed by the college.
  • Recommend financial aid opportunities, academic progress, eligibility and procedures.
  • Process checks and credit card payments for deposit from students, parents or miscellaneous agencies on a daily basis, post daily, all student payments from all sources.
  • Calculate any refunds/stipends owed to students and process/communicate accordingly; return Title IV funds when necessary via G5 website.
  • Prepare Financial Aid and Student Account reports to monitor Accounts Receivable.
  • Calculate Tuition Liability and communicate to students.
  • Create reports to provide information to issue the annual 1098-T Student Tax Form.
  • Work with the Business Manager/CFO to ensure accurate and timely exchange of information and awards between school information systems.
  • Maintain research and submit information regarding budget as needed.
  • Facilitate coordination and communication between respective college departments as they relate to the Financial Office’s role in creating a positive educational experience for students.
  • Lead staff meetings, share information as appropriate, promote the development of ideas for improved service and efficiency, and encourage teamwork.
  • Integrate efforts to maximize Financial Office’s role in recruiting and retention.
  • Approve payroll work authorizations for all department staff.
  • Maintain current knowledge of college financial policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Attend trainings/conferences as necessary to keep knowledge current.
  • The student financial services will include fee assessment, tuition collection/application, accounts receivable, and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree; 4 years of financial aid experience; previous supervisory experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree and four years related experience; or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
  • Certificate of Completion of Fundamentals of Title IV Administration Required and a broad knowledge of federal financial aid programs and record keeping requirements.
  • Knowledge of higher education processes, supervisory and personnel practices, communication techniques and computer software.

Bus Driver/Special School Events

The Bus Driver opening is an as needed part-time casual position. The ideal candidate must have a successful and verifiable work history of at least 2-3 years in the area of transportation.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Bus drivers to provide transportation with school-related activities, i.e. field trips, sporting events, etc. throughout the Columbus Metro area.
  • Adhere to all Federal regulations and to all additional State of Ohio requirements.
  • Preserve order on the bus and enforce school safety regulations, permitting only those authorized to ride.

Primary Qualifications

Children’s Minister
World Harvest Church, a global ministry with multiple campuses in Central Ohio, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Children’s Minister that desires to use their talent and gifting to impact the world. The Children’s Minister Position is expected to work with the youth of the various ministries of World Harvest Church. The ideal candidate must be an effective communicator, sound teacher and biblical preach and demonstrate the love, character and power of God.

Also, the Children’s Minister must lead support weekly youth services, bible study, and devotions for the overall development of the young person. The position is a full-time, 40 plus hour a week position within the Local Church Division of World Harvest Church. Department Chair, General Studies - Valor Christian College
Valor Christian College invites applications for the position of Department Chair for General Studies. The Chair will coordinate general studies course offerings in a variety of disciplines such as English, Mathematics, Communications, Humanities, and Social Science. The Chair provides leadership and must evidence commitment to innovative and relevant education for students. Responsibilities include collaboration and consultation with faculty team to promote maximum commitment and results; maintaining high standards of teaching, scholarship, and service; organizing student advising procedures; organizing faculty teaching loads; assisting with class schedules; developing and maintaining collaborations with other faculty; assisting with planning and assessment; and representing the program in the community at large. The Chair will provide instruction for courses each semester.
